ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 25. Mangistaumunaigas reports strong performance in oil production and taxation for 2024, Trend reports via the company.
"In 2024, Mangistaumunaigas JSC had a production target of 6.16 million tons of oil but exceeded expectations by producing 6.17 million tons. By field: in the Kalamkasmunaygaz Production Unit, oil production reached 3.60 million tons, while in the ZhetybaiMunaygaz Production Unit, it totaled 2.57 million tons. Throughout the year, 121 production wells were drilled at Mangistaumunaigas' fields, contributing an additional 170,942 tons of oil, surpassing the plan by 33,841 tons," the company reported.
The successful execution of several geological and technical activities, such as hydraulic fracturing (HF), low-tonnage Skin-HF, transfers to higher horizons, and limiting water influx, resulted in additional oil production of 439,662 tons, exceeding the planned figure by 90,716 tons.
Furthermore, the company's stability and reliability were recognized with the awarding of international certifications in 2024 for compliance with ISO standards: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System). These certifications were granted following an external audit by QACS International.
As of the end of 2024, Mangistaumunaigas contributed a total of 304 billion tenge (approximately $577.6 million) in taxes and contributions (excluding social payments) to the state budget. Mangistaumunaigas remains one of the largest taxpayers in Kazakhstan.
