BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijan's industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs operating in this field manufactured industrial products worth 5.5 billion manat ($3.2 billion) in January of this year, which is 2.6 percent less than in the same month of 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that the production decreased by 4.5 percent in the oil and gas sector, and increased by 9.9 percent in the non-oil and gas sector.
Moreover, 61 percent of industrial output was produced in mining, 31.9 percent in processing, 6.3 percent in electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply, and 0.8 percent in water supply, waste treatment, and processing sectors.
The share of the non-state sector in the industry was 77.4 percent, while 88.6 percent of the total production accounted for output of industrial products, and 11.4 percent - provision of industrial services.
