BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Based on a baseline scenario developed by the Ministry of Economy, the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan is expected to gradually decrease and reach 3.8 percent by 2029, Trend reports via the Ministry of Finance.

This projection considers forecasts by international organizations regarding food and commodity prices, assumes a stable exchange rate for the manat, no increases in regulated prices, and the continuation of anti-inflationary measures. The average inflation rate for the current year is forecasted at 5.1 percent.

The projections also indicate that over the medium term, household incomes are expected to rise, reaching 123 billion manat ($72.3 billion) by 2029, while expenditures are anticipated to climb to 119.4 billion manat ($70.2 billion).

Macroeconomic forecasts submitted by the Ministry of Economy also assume that the exchange rate of the manat against the US dollar will remain stable at current levels for 2026-2029.
