ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 16. The tax contributions of Yandex to Kazakhstan's economy amounted to 29.5 billion tenge (about $56.05 million) in 2024, and the company's total investment since 2016 exceeded 225 billion tenge (about $427.5 million), said Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yandex Global, during a meeting with President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Trend reports.
In the course of the meeting, key areas of activity and future plans of Yandex Qazaqstan were discussed. Special attention was also given to initiatives in the field of platform-based employment and the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
Moreover, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the significant contribution of Yandex Qazaqstan to digital transformation, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and improving the quality of life for citizens.
Moreover, issues related to integrating cultural heritage with advanced technologies were considered. The President emphasized that, in the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence, preserving cultural identity and promoting the Kazakh language and culture in the digital space are of particular importance.
Daniil Shuleyko stated that as a result of the platform
employment pilot project, more than 65,000 Yandex. Taxi partner
drivers gained access to social protection. He also spoke about
plans to launch innovative pilot projects in Astana and confirmed
the company's participation in the AI-Sana program.
"Yandex" is a Russian multinational company in the information
