BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18.​ Azerbaijan's state budget revenues for the first quarter of this year surpassed projections, reaching 9.73 billion manat ($5.72 billion), which is 171.3 million manat ($100.7 million) (1.8 percent) more than forecasted. Compared to the same period in 2024, the revenues increased by 5.4 percent, or 499.2 million manat ($293.6 million).

Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Finance indicates that these figures account for 25.4 percent of the projected annual revenue for the current year.

Excluding transfers from the State Oil Fund (SOFAZ) to the state budget, the revenue reached 6.11 billion manat ($3.59 billion), surpassing the forecast by 2.9 percent.

The revenue breakdown shows that 45 percent of the total budget income, or 4.38 billion manat ($2.57 billion), came from tax authority collections, while 37.2 percent, or 3.62 billion manat ($2.12 billion), was from transfers by SOFAZ. Customs collections contributed 14.7 percent, or 1.43 billion manat ($841.1 million), and payments for services by state-funded organizations accounted for 1.4 percent, or 136.7 million manat ($80.4 million). Additionally, income from leasing state property amounted to 0.1 percent, or 10.4 million manat ($6.1 million), with other income making up 1.6 percent, or 154.9 million manat ($91.1 million).
