Azerbaijan's customs revenue faces minor setback in early 2025

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23.​ The amount of funds entering Azerbaijan’s state budget through customs amounted to over 1.4 billion manat ($823.5 million) in the first quarter of 2025.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this figure represents a decrease of 39.3 million manat ($23.1 million), or 2.7%, compared to the same period of 2024 (1.47 billion manat ($864.6 million)).

Morteover, customs duties accounted for around 399.3 million manat ($234.8 million) during the current reporting period, value-added tax (VAT) revenue amounted to 964.5 million manat ($567.3 million), excise duties generated approximately 55.4 million manat ($32.5 million), and road tax revenue reached about 11.3 million manat ($6.6 million).
