ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 24. Kazakhstan's joint-stock company "National Atomic Company Kazatomprom" has announced the recommended amount and timing for dividend payments for the year 2024, Trend reports.
Based on the audited financial results for 2024, the company’s board of directors has recommended a dividend of 1,264 tenge (approximately $2.40) per common share (one Global Depositary Receipt, or GDR, equals one common share) for the year 2024.
“The proposed total amount of dividends will be approximately 327.9 billion tenge (approximately $623 million), which corresponds to 75 percent of free cash flow in accordance with the company’s current dividend policy. It is proposed that the dividend payment for the year 2024 will begin on July 17, 2025, to those registered in the shareholder register as of 00:00 local time (GMT+5) on July 16, 2025,” says Kazatomprom's announcement.
The disbursement of dividends is contingent upon ratification by
the equity holders during the forthcoming General Shareholders'
Assembly set for May 27, 2025.
Kazatomprom stands as the preeminent entity in the uranium
production sector, with its natural uranium output, aligned with
the company's equity stake, constituting approximately 21 percent
of the aggregate global primary uranium production forecasted for
2024. The consortium possesses the preeminent uranium reserve
portfolio within the sector. Kazatomprom, in conjunction with its
subsidiaries, affiliates, and joint ventures, is advancing the
exploration and extraction of 27 mineral deposits, strategically
consolidated into 14 uranium mining enterprises for optimized
operational efficiency.
