BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. Banks operating in Azerbaijan paid a total of 61.7 million manat ($36.2 million) in profit taxes from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this figure represents a decrease of 11.2 million manat ($6.5 million), or 15.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2024 (72.9 million manat ($42.8 million)).
Meanwhile, the country's banks paid 23.7 million manat ($13.9 million) in profit taxes in January 2025, 19.9 million manat ($11.7 million) in February, and 18.1 million manat ($10.6 million) in March.
