TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 22. Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its international trade partnerships in 2025, with a notable increase in foreign trade turnover with several major countries compared to the previous year.
Data obtained by Trend from the National Statistics Committee indicates that among the 20 major partner countries, 13 recorded growth in trade volumes compared to 2024, demonstrating Uzbekistan’s active engagement in global commerce and regional connectivity.
China remained Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner in 2025, with trade turnover rising from $3.96 million in 2024 to $4.18 million. Despite a slight decline, Russia held the second position with $3.71 million, followed by Kazakhstan and Türkiye with $1.39 million and $ 834 million respectively. The United Arab Emirates demonstrated the most significant increase among mid-level partners, with trade turnover nearly doubling from $182.3 million in 2024 to $329.3 million in 2025.
Overall, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover totaled $24.6 billion in the first four months of 2025, reflecting an increase of $3.44 billion, or 16.3 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
