BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 31. The average interest rates on newly issued loans in manats stood at 18.45 percent in Azerbaijan as of July 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
indicates that this signifies a 0.45 basis point contraction
relative to the preceding month, illustrating a 3.42 basis point
escalation in juxtaposition to the analogous timeframe in 2024.
Furthermore, the mean nominal interest rate associated with newly
disbursed foreign currency loans was documented at 6.35 percent.
This metric reflects a decrement of 0.24 basis points relative to
the preceding month, while exhibiting an increment of 0.43 basis
points compared to the analogous timeframe in the prior year.
Furthermore, the aggregate lending portfolio of financial
institutions in Azerbaijan experienced a marginal uptick of 0.3
percent in June 2025, translating to an increment of 85.6 million
manat ($50.3 million), culminating in a total of 28.4 billion manat
($16.6 billion).
