An electronic map of Iran may be included in the GoMap (gomap.az) navigation system, SINAM Company told Trend.
Gomap.az project was initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and SINAM Company acts like its executor.
Currently, the integration of e-map of Iran into GoMap is under negotiation.
"The innovation is also achieving a principle agreement with the Turkish company Infotech on the inclusion of an electronic map of Turkey into GoMap," said the company. "The project with Turkey can be implemented at the level of partnership with the mentioned company. But it is necessary to solve technical issues for the full integration of the navigation map of Turkey into GoMap."
Currently, GoMap allows laying a single route on the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Extending coverage of GoMap will make this service useful for tourists visiting Turkey.
After the expansion of the map, it will be much more convenient to visit tourist areas of Turkey, especially for motorists, for which all road signs and traffic regulations will be taken into account when creating a road map.
Electronic map GoMap one of the first resources in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, created on the basis of "cloud" technologies. Routing function is integrated into the map. In addition, the electronic map includes pictures and descriptions of historical and cultural monuments.
