Iran’s Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari has announced allocation of $750 million to facilitate employment in rural and border areas.
The money will be paid via banks, he said, Trend reports citing Tasnim.
The official noted the creation of 609,000 jobs in the country during the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) and expressed hope for a rise in employment.
Referring to the capacity of border cooperatives to import goods, Shariatmadari said, “The government has made good decisions to facilitate the process.”
“The exemptions for goods imports by border communities and cooperatives will increase and these border cooperatives can boost the country’s economy.”
