Azerbaijan’s Sumgait Technologies Park (STP) intends to export aluminum profiles manufactured at the plant producing aluminum and copper profiles to many more countries, STP PR manager Rashad Aliyev told Trend.
“To achieve this goal, STP signed a cooperation agreement with partners in Central Asia, in particular in Kazakhstan,” Aliyev added. “In accordance with the document, 20 tons of STP’s aluminum products were exported to Almaty. The aluminum profiles were exported to this country for the first time.”
“It is planned to increase the supply of aluminum products to this market in the future,” PR manager added. “The products were supplied in May 2020. Besides this market, STP exported aluminum profiles to Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine the same month.”
“In general, the products are also exported to Denmark, Poland, Estonia and Greece,” Aliyev said. “We are currently negotiating the issue related to the supply with potential customers in Russia and Spain.”
The plant producing aluminum and copper profiles was commissioned in 2014. The plant produces aluminum profiles, powder coating, melts and glues aluminum, as well as melts copper.
The monthly design capacity of the powder coating deposit is 240 tons. The annual production capacity of the aluminum smelting complex is 30,000 tons. STP is a huge complex of plants specializing in various industries.
STP was created upon the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on December 22, 2009.
The complex produces a wide range of products for the oil and gas, construction, energy and agricultural industries.
