The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan has put up 8-mm float sheet glass for bidding, Trend reports referring to the exchange.
According to the quotation, 76,600 sq. m of float sheet glass are sold for $4.10 per sq.m. This particular lot is listed for foreign markets only.
The seller is the Industry and Construction Manufacturing Ministry of Turkmenistan. The term of the purchase is full prepayment.
Location: Ahal region, Gokdepe district, Ovadandepe.
The trades at the exchange are held from Monday to Friday.
Turkmen Glass Products in Akhal region is the largest glass factory in Central Asia with the capacity to produce 7.2 million square meters of transparent glass, 1 million square meters of tinted glass, 300,000 square meters of tempered glass, 100,000 square meters of laminated glass, and 400,000 square meters of double-glazed windows per year.
Last year the plant produced over 5.8 million sq. m of glass sheets worth 183.7 million manats ($52.3 million). The company exports a wide range of glass products to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
