BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Croatia and Portugal entered a list of the TOP 10 purchasers of Azerbaijani oil from January through April 2024, Trend reports via the data from the State Customs Committee.
In the reporting period, Portugal bought 190,120 tons of oil from Azerbaijan for $117.4 million versus 92,950 tons of Azerbaijani oil for $62.9 million from January through April 2023.
Meanwhile, Croatia increased purchases of Azerbaijani oil to 168,520 tons from 90,300 tons purchased in the first four months of last year.
Azerbaijan's revenue from oil sales to Croatia more than doubled from January through April 2024, reaching $113.67 million, compared to $55.35 million in the same period of 2023.
Overall, Azerbaijan exported 6.93 million tons of oil worth $4.36 billion in the first four months of this year, compared to 9.2 million tons worth $5.72 billion in the first four months of 2023.
