BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. Azerbaijan exported crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals to the Netherlands, worth $126.5 million and totaling 223,300 tons from January through August 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the value of exports rose by $19.7 million or 18.4 percent. In comparison, the volume increased by 54,300 tons or 32.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2024 (169,000 tons, worth $106.8 million).
Overall, Azerbaijan exported crude oil and petroleum products to 20 countries from January through August 2025, totaling $8.4 billion in value and 15.9 million tons in volume. These figures represent a decline of $1.9 billion or 18.5 percent in value and 551,100 tons or 3.3 percent in volume compared to the same period of 2024.
