BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. The number of ATMs in Azerbaijan as of December 31, 2023, amounted to 3,112 units (1.43 percent growth compared to the figure at the end of 2022), Trend reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
At the end of December 2023, there were 1,621 ATMs in Baku (1.89 percent growth) and 1,491 in regions (0.95 percent growth).
The number of POS terminals installed in commerce and service facilities in Azerbaijan reached 86,383 (an 8.22 percent increase from the end of 2022). There are 58,054 in Baku and 29,329 in other towns and districts throughout the country.
Retail trade facilities have 83,584 thousand POS terminals, accounting for 96.76 percent of all POS terminals.
At the end of 2022, there were 3,068 ATMs in Azerbaijan, of which 1,591 were in Baku and 1,477 in the regions of the country. The number of POS terminals at the end of 2022 amounted to 77,551 units.
