BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. The number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan increased by 5.9 percent to 806,900 as of the first of January this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy shows that during the reporting period, the number of active VAT payers in the country increased by 15.6 percent - up to 52,800, while the number of business entities reached 217,400 (6.3 percent growth).
To note, as of the first of January last year, the number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan for the year increased by seven percent - up to 761,700.
