BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 16. The profit of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 9.148 billion soms ($102 million) as of September 30 of the current year, Trend reports.
This profit increased by 9.04 percent year-on-year, and compared to the previous month, it rose by 10.98 percent.
The National Bank's assets reached 406.2 billion soms ($4.5 billion), which is an increase of over 67.2 billion soms ($753 million) compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the bank's liabilities amounted to 354.8 billion soms ($3.9 billion), growing by 51 billion soms ($571 million) compared to the same period in 2022. The banks’ capital reached nearly 52.4 billion soms ($587 million).
Additionally, the bank transferred 9.168 billion soms ($69 million) to the state budget from January through August 2023.
In 2022, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported a profit of 9.436 billion soms ($105.8 million), increasing by 2.65 percent compared to 2021.
The National Bank's revenues include interest income from managing international reserves, income from loans issued to banks and international organizations, income from government securities, and revenues from foreign currency and gold operations.
