BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 9. Road transport in Kyrgyzstan carried a total of 25.669 million tons of cargo from January through July 2025, which is an increase of 2.346 million tons, or 10.1 percent, compared to the same period last year (23.323 million tons).
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistical Agency shows that road transport accounted for the main share of cargo shipments in the country.
The total freight turnover by road was 831.4 million tons-kilometers, which is 13.3 percent more than in the same period of 2024
The volume of cargo transported by all modes of transport in Kyrgyzstan reached 31.595 million tons from January through July 2025, which is an increase of 3.3 million tons, or 11.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
In July alone, the volume of cargo transport experienced an uptick of 0.3 million tons, translating to a year-on-year growth rate of 7.2 percent, alongside a sequential increase of 8.9 percent relative to the preceding month of June 2025.
