China allocates grant to Tajikistan for construction in government building

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 31. China has granted Tajikistan a non-repayable grant of $2 million for the construction of a meeting hall in the new building of the Tajikistan government, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, the document was signed by Minister Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and China's Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ji Shumin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas for bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including the establishment of joint industrial enterprises in Tajikistan and collaboration in the digital and green economies.

Zavqizoda noted that thanks to the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, a new level has been reached, and the volume of mutual external trade increases each year.

It was highlighted that mutual external trade between the countries grew by 24 percent in 2023 compared to 2022, with China ranking second in the structure of the country's foreign trade turnover. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness for further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
