DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 7. A total of 88 active state investment projects were implemented in Tajikistan as of the end of June 2024, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, these projects include 53 grant-funded initiatives, 5 loan-funded projects, and 30 projects combining grants and loans. The total investment amounts to 49.6 billion somoni ($4.7 billion).
Grant funds constitute 33.6 billion somoni ($3.15 billion), or 68 percent of the total, while loan funds represent 14.5 billion somoni ($1.36 billion), or 29 percent.
The Tajik government contributes 1.43 billion somoni ($134.5 million), or 2.8 percent, with other sources—including state enterprises, local authorities, and beneficiaries—providing 83.1 million somoni ($7.8 million), or 0.2 percent.
From January through June 2024, expenditures on these projects amounted to 2.90 billion somoni ($272.8 million), achieving 102 percent of the financial plan for the reporting period.
