ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 19. The laboratories of the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan and the main state service "Turkmenstandartlary" will be internationally accredited, Turkmenistan's Deputy Chairman Hojamyrat Geldimyradov said at a cabinet meeting, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's official media.
“The proposed measures will contribute to modernization of material and technical base and fulfillment of tasks in the standardization system,” the deputy said.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov backed the proposal for international accreditation and gave specific instructions to ensure the proper functioning of laboratories.
To note, the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan provides a unified system of measurements for the national economy of the country, exercising reliable state control over testing and measuring instruments. This contributes to the development of Turkmenistan's trade turnover in international markets, including cooperation with the European Union.
