TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 4. Uzbekistan will pave the way for new toll roads linking Tashkent with the Samarkand and Andijan regions, Trend reports.
The presidential decree of Uzbekistan on public-private partnerships in Uzbekistan for 2024–2030 reflects this intention.
The decree states that the Tashkent-Samarkand toll road will begin building in 2024, while the Tashkent-Andijan toll road will begin construction in 2026.
These projects open up a whole new world of possibilities for swift and smooth transportation between the cities in Uzbekistan.
Noteworthy that Sojitz (a Japanese company) and Ronesans (a Turkish company) plan on participating in projects on the construction of toll roads in Uzbekistan.
The sides have already discussed the matter of cooperation in the implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the transport sector.
