TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 1. Uzbekistan has rolled out a whopping 62 million bank cards, making waves in the financial pond from January through February 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank (CBU) shows that the Xalq Bank took the leading position with the highest volume of issued bank cards (10.6 million cards).
The second place was occupied by TBC Bank, with bank cards in circulation amounting to 5.8 million. Agrobank rounded out the top three with 5.5 million during this period.
At the same time, Saderat Bank Tashkent accounted for the least amount with just 2,220 bank cards in circulation.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan issued a total of 53.5 million bank cards in 2024. Xalq Bank led the ranking with the highest number of issued cards, totaling 12.4 million. Agrobank followed in second place with 5.3 million cards in circulation, while Ipoteka Bank secured third place with 4.6 million issued during this period.
