BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. The revenues of Iran's Urmia Petrochemical Company grew 86 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), the Executive Director of Iran's Urmia Petrochemical Company Akbar Esmaeili said, Trend reports.
According to him, the revenue of Urmia Petrochemical Company amounted to about 19 trillion rials (about $48.6 million) in the last Iranian year.
Esmaeili added that last year's sales volume amounted to 104,000 tons.
To note, Urmia Petrochemical Company was established in 1990. The territory of this company is 110 ha. The company has four plants. This enterprise can produce 50,000 tons of sulfuric acid, 50,000 tons of hydrochloric acid, 40,000 tons of ammonium sulfate, 40,000 tons of potassium sulfate, and 4,000 tons of crystalline melamine.
Meanwhile, Iran's petrochemical production potential was 95 million tons at the end of last year. Iran declares that in the current year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025), the country's petrochemical production potential will increase by 5 million tons to 100 million tons.
