Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company showcases key figures

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company is considered one of the main crude oil production companies in the country, the executive director of Iran's Karoun Oil and Gas Production Company Hassan Shahrooei told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, the current crude oil production potential of this company is about 1 million barrels. This company produces crude oil from significant oil fields, including Ahvaz, Mansouri, Abteymour and Ramin fields.

Shahrooei stated that the Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company currently produces hydrocarbons from more than 700 oil and gas wells and runs 33 refineries.

The official indicated that this enterprise presently possesses a gas output capacity of 600 million cubic feet daily (approximately 17 million cubic meters).

He articulated that Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company constitutes a pivotal entity in the aggregation of gas generated concomitantly with crude oil extraction in Iran.

Meanwhile, the Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, operating as part of Iran's South Oil Zones National Company, has the potential to produce more than 1 million barrels of oil per day. The main oil fields of this company are Ahvaz, Mansouri, Ab Teymour, and Ramin.

To note, 27 percent of Iran's crude oil output is attributed to the Karoon Oil and Gas Company.
