Iran needs some $30 billion to fulfill its programs in the ship making sector by 2025, according to Mansour Moazzami, director of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO).
He made the remarks during a meeting where the IDRO, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL Group), and the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) signed a deal to jointly form a ship building company, IRIB news agency reported May 15.
According to Moazzami, IRISL and NITC will each share 40 percent of the new company, while IDRO will share 20 percent.
Moazzami also said that according to the deal, the three companies will use foreign cooperation by assigning shares to them.
