The Scottish MacRebur will build 1,690 kilometers of roads in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend on October 5.
According to the information, MacRebur has signed a new contract worth one million pounds ($1.4 million) to upgrade Azerbaijan's road infrastructure network.
"More than 500 tons of non-recyclable plastic waste will be used to improve the road surface," the statement said.
It is also noted that MacRebur's entry into the Azerbaijani market will further expand its activities in neighboring countries.
The Scottish MacRebur, which uses plastic waste for road construction, operates in more than 30 countries around the world, including the US, Brazil, Turkey, Norway, Barbados, Spain, South Korea, and Estonia.
