ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 20. Serbia's extensive experience in the military sector is of interest to strengthening Kazakhstan's defense potential, Trend reports.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited an exhibition of military-industrial complex enterprises held at the Batajnica airfield near Belgrade. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was also present during the tour of the Serbian defense industry's products.
The exhibition showcased samples of ground military equipment, helicopters equipped with Serbian armaments, air defense systems, firearms, all types of artillery ammunition, cartridges, mortar shells, and mortars.
Serbia is a leader in the export of military goods in the region. Currently, Serbian defense industry products are supplied to about 70 countries worldwide, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Bulgaria, and Indonesia.
During President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Serbia, several memoranda and agreements were signed, one of which was the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on defense cooperation.
