BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. Azerbaijan exported 66,874 tons of apples worth $42.6 million in the period from January through October this year, Trend reports, citing the State Customs Committee.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that this is more by $1.4 million (3.6 percent) in value and 1,455 tons (2.2 percent) in volume than for the same period last year.
Apple exports accounted for 0.19 percent of the country's total exports during the ten months.
While Azerbaijan exported 65,419 tons of apples worth $41.1 million in the period from January through October last year, the nation exported 74,543 tons of persimmons worth $52.9 million in the period from January through October of the current year.
This is a jump of $6.7 million (14.7 percent) in value and 10,680 tons (16.7 percent) in volume compared to the same stretch last year.
