ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 6. The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, EEDI, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) are planning to cooperate in the energy-saving sector in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, chaired by Turar Zholmagambetov, Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Committee, with representatives from EEDI and JICA as part of the "Project for Promoting Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation in Kazakhstan."
The main focus of the meeting was to discuss joint initiatives aimed at implementing advanced technologies and modernizing production processes in Kazakhstan in the areas of energy conservation and energy efficiency.
JICA's involvement plays a key role in exchanging international experience and providing the necessary resources to achieve EEDI's strategic goals in energy efficiency.
As noted by the participants, the trilateral partnership enables the introduction of innovative solutions and high standards, strengthening EEDI's position in the implementation of projects.
To note, JICA is the Japan International Cooperation Agency, which not only handles technical cooperation but also provides grant aid and yen loans for Japan’s Official Development Assistance. It has become the second-largest donor organization after the World Bank.
