BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Azerbaijan's imports of tobacco and tobacco products saw a slight uptick of 1.12 percent from January through August 2024 compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of $106.9 million.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s State Customs Committee indicates that the value of these imports during the same period in 2023 was $105.7 million.
Tobacco and its products made up a mere 0.57 percent of Azerbaijan's total imports during the time in question.
Moreover, Azerbaijan's imports of tobacco and tobacco products saw a significant leap of 23.54 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching a hefty sum of $119.9 million.
