BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. Heydar Aliyev International Airport implemented crucial infrastructure projects as part of the strategic development plan in 2024, a source in the airport told Trend.
According to the source, work was carried out on the complete reconstruction of one of the runways in accordance with international standards, as well as the construction and major repair of taxiways with a total length of 4,332 meters.
To improve passenger service quality, modern self-check-in booths and self-service baggage drop-off systems, significantly reducing waiting times, simplifying pre-flight procedures, and making the travel process more convenient and comfortable, have been installed.
