BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. The total amount of public bank deposits in Azerbaijan reached 14.6 billion manat ($8.5 billion) as of January 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank (CBA) shows that the Baku Economic Region accounted for the largest share of deposits, with 12.9 billion manat ($7.5 billion). Meanwhile, the Eastern Zangazur Economic Region accounted for the smallest amount with 433,000 manat ($254,637).
The Absheron-Khizi Economic Region ranked second with 525.9 million manat ($309.2 million), while the Ganja-Dashkasan Economic Region came in third with 230.4 million manat ($135.4 million).
