BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 25. The volume of expanded money supply (M3) in Azerbaijan amounted to 45.6 billion manat ($26.8 billion) as of February 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this tally decreased by 930.5 million manat ($547.3 million), or two percent on a monthly basis, but rose by 665.6 million manat ($391.5 million), or 1.5 percent, compared to February 1, 2024.
Besides, as of February 1 this year, Azerbaijan's money supply in manat terms (M2) equaled 34.7 billion manat ($20.4 billion), seeing a hike of 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 5.2 percent from January 1, 2025, and 516.9 million manat ($304 million), or 1.5 percent from February 1 of last year.
Meanwhile, the money supply for transactions (M1) settled at 27.6 billion manat ($16.2 billion), decreasing by two billion manat ($1.18 billion), or 6.8 percent month-on-month, and by 1.1 billion manat, or $650 million (four percent), over the year.
Additionally, as the first of February, 2025, cash supply in circulation (M0) reached 15.3 billion manat ($9 billion), down 572.6 million manat ($336.8 million), or 3.6 percent, in monthly terms, and 131.2 million manat, or $77 million (0.8 percent) less than on February 1, 2024.
