BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Azerbaijan
exported $30.1 million worth of aluminum and its byproducts,
totaling more than 10,000 tons from January through February
2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that
this represents an increase of $378,000, or 1.27 percent, in value,
while the volume of exports decreased by around 903 tons, or 8.1
percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Moreover, aluminum and its byproducts accounted for 0.64 percent
of the country's total exports and 6.31 percent of non-oil sector
exports during this period.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan imported aluminum and its byproducts worth
$29.6 million in the same period last year, marking an increase of
$8.5 million, or 40 percent, compared to the previous year.
The import of aluminum and its products represented 0.872
percent of Azerbaijan’s total imports.
