ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 28. KazAgroFinance from Kazakhstan is back in the saddle with another subsidized leasing program, Trend reports.
KazAgroFinance JSC has started accepting applications for a
subsidized program aimed at acquiring domestically produced
machinery and vehicles under the "Made in Kazakhstan"
initiative.
"In 2024, under the program, agricultural producers leased 336
units of equipment worth 10.5 billion tenge (approximately $21
million). Tractors and combines were in the highest demand. In
aggregate, subsequent to the program's inception, agribusiness
entities have procured in excess of two thousand units of
agricultural machinery assets," said a statement from the Ministry
of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
In the fiscal year 2025, KazAgroFinance JSC maintained the
operational parameters of the "Made in Kazakhstan" initiative in a
consistent manner.
To support domestic production, agricultural producers have access
to agricultural machinery and vehicles of local production/assembly
on favorable terms: a financing period of up to 10 years (compared
to 7 years in other programs), a subsidized interest rate of 6
percent, and an advance payment starting from 15 percent. The first
lease payment can be made using subsidies.
This year in Kazakhstan, the "Subsidized Leasing" program is also in effect. Agricultural producers can acquire agricultural machinery at an interest rate of 5 percent per annum for a period of up to 7 years, with the possibility of deferring the first lease payment until December 1, 2025. A total of 200 billion tenge (approximately $400 million) has been allocated for this program.
