BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2.​ The total money supply in Azerbaijan, measured by the broad money supply (M3 aggregate), amounted to 46.7 billion manat ($27.4 billion) as of March 1, 2025.

Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this reflects an increase of 1.1 billion manat ($647 million), or 2.4 percent, compared to the previous month and a rise of 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 4.3 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.

In addition, the money supply in manat (M2 aggregate) stood at 35.4 billion manat ($20.8 billion) by March 1, 2025. This was an increase of 684.3 million manat ($402.5 million), or 2 percent, from the previous month and a rise of 1.2 billion manat ($705.8 million), or 3.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.

Furthermore, the M1 money supply aggregate reached 28.2 billion manat ($16.5 billion) during the reporting period. This represented an increase of 525.3 million manat ($309 million), or 1.9 percent, month-over-month, though it was 487.3 million manat ($286.6 million), or 1.7 percent, lower compared to March 2024.

Additionally, the cash money supply outside of banks (M0 aggregate) was 15.5 billion manat ($9.11 billion) as of March 1, 2025. This showed a 264.9 million manat ($155.8 million) increase, or 1.7 percent, from the previous month, and a 304.7 million manat ($179.2 million), or 2 percent, increase from the same period last year.
