BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. A significant portion of the funds allocated for the reconstruction and restoration of territories liberated from occupation has been utilized in the first quarter of 2025, Trend reports via the Ministry of Finance.
Based on the cash order documents submitted by relevant ordering organizations for respective projects, 20.3 percent of the annual planned budget, amounting to 812.3 million manat ($477.8 million), was used.
According to the Ministry, out of the total amount, 682.6 million manat ($401.5 million) were directed towards infrastructure-related projects. This includes the planning, construction, and reconstruction of automobile road infrastructure (468.2 million manat ($275.4 million)), the design and construction of new residential complexes (103.2 million manat ($60.7 million)), the restoration of existing radio and television stations, the establishment of new broadcasting stations, as well as the setup of postal and communication services (including telephone, internet, and multimedia) infrastructure (45.1 million manat ($26.5 million)).
Moreover, 40 million manat ($23.5 million) were allocated for the planning and construction of cable car systems in Shusha, Khankendi, and Lachin cities, while 19 million manat ($11.1 million) were dedicated to the construction of main water pipelines, waste, and stormwater collectors, the preparation of project-budget documentation, and 7.1 million manat ($4.1 million) were allocated for the development of industrial parks, including the establishment of necessary infrastructure within their territories
