BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. The State Service on Property Issues facilitated the payment of over 50.7 million manat ($29.8 million) to the state budget through privatization and leasing activities from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Service on Property Issues indicates that the service held a total of 11 auctions during the mentioned period. These included privatizing the stock packages of four joint-stock companies, one small state enterprise, and 223 vehicles. A total of 71 electronic orders were received for state assets put up for auction, with 12 online participations through the "Electronic Auction" software.
Revenues from privatization amounted to over 40.3 million manat ($23.7 million) during the reporting period, marking a remarkable 87.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the service signed 984 new lease agreements, including 137 non-residential properties and 847 land plots. Leasing of state-owned immovable property contributed 10.4 million manat ($6.11 million) to the state budget, reflecting a 13 percent growth compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
In total, state revenues from privatization and leasing in early 2025 reached 50.7 million manat ($29.8 million), a significant 65.2 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.
