BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. The net foreign assets of Azerbaijan's banks have reached 28.9 billion manat as of May 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
indicates that this indicates a monthly escalation of 665.8 million
manat ($391.6 million), translating to a 2.4 percent uptick,
alongside a year-over-year augmentation of 2.64 billion manat
($1.55 billion), representing a 10.1 percent increase.
Concurrently, within the specified reporting timeframe, the
financial institutions' net domestic assets were quantified at 18.2
billion manat ($10.7 billion), reflecting a contraction of 188.9
million manat ($111.1 million), equivalent to a 1 percent decline
relative to April 1, 2025, and a reduction of 713.1 million manat
($713.1 million), representing a 3.8 percent decrease in comparison
to May 1, 2024.
