BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Goods worth 17.2 million manat ($10.1 million) were produced at Azerbaijan's Neftchala Industrial Zone in the first quarter of 2025, Elchin Kazimov, spokesperson for the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy, told Trend.
He articulated that a cohort of six corporate entities, possessing an investment portfolio surpassing 63 million manat ($37 million), have been conferred residency status within the Neftchala Industrial Zone, with five of these entities presently engaged in operational activities.
“Entrepreneurs have invested nearly 50 million manat ($29.4 million) in various projects to date, creating 317 permanent jobs.
So far, the total value of products sold by the zone’s residents has reached 228 million manat ($134.1 million), of which 1.4 million manat ($823.5) accounted for exports.
In the first quarter of 2025, products worth 17.2 million manat ($10.1 million) were manufactured in the Industrial Zone, which is more than six times higher compared to the same period last year,” Kazimov noted.
