BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Turkmenistan’s manufacturing sector recorded modest but positive growth in the first quarter of 2025, signaling an improvement after a contraction at the end of last year, Trend reports, citing data from the CAREC Institute.
According to the data, manufacturing value added in Turkmenistan expanded by 0.3 percent year-on-year in constant prices during the first quarter, compared with a 4.5 percent decline in the fourth quarter of 2024. The report highlights that this turnaround reflects stabilization in production and a gradual recovery trend.
Across the CAREC region, manufacturing activity generally accelerated in early 2025. Average growth reached 5.6 percent, up from 4.7 percent in the final quarter of 2024. Strong gains were recorded in economies such as Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and Pakistan, while large producers like China and Kazakhstan maintained robust growth rates.
