Iranian Offshore Oil Company and UAE-based E-marine Company has agreed on manufacturing of submarine fiber-optic cables for Iranian oil and gas platforms in Persian Gulf, Mehr news agency reported.
According to the report, the project will boost Iranian platforms` communication and satellite networks.
Two sides have signed an agreement on manufacturing of about 1000 kilometers of submarine fiber-optic cables, the report said.
The project will begin as soon as its funded, official of Iranian Offshore Oil Company, Naser Naserinia said, predicting that it would be completed during one year.
E-marine previously participated in some Iranian cable projects including UAE- Iran submarine cable installation (1992) and Kuwait - Iran cable system installation (2005).
