The register of public services in Kazakhstan includes 741 items, of which 454 or 61 percent are available online, Trend reports referring to Kazakh media.
"As many as 165 public services are available only online. Half of them are licenses and permits, as well as business subsidization services. This was done to eliminate administrative barriers for business," Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev said.
He noted that over the past year, 64 new public services have been transferred to electronic format: registration of periodicals, news agencies and online publications; registration of persons in need of employment; subsidizing the development of livestock breeding, etc.
The minister said that 8.5 million users have already been registered on the e-government portal, and 30 million public services were rendered in 2018.
Abayev also noted that it is planned to transfer 141 public services to electronic format. However, he added that it is impossible to achieve full automation of public services, because there are services that require the presence and participation of a specialist.
