New logistics centers of Russian online retailer Wildberries will be operating at full capacity in Kazakhstan in about two years, CEO of the company Tatyana Bakalchuk said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of prime minister of Kazakhstan.
According to Bakalchuk, the company is planning to build two trade and logistics centers with an area of approximately 50,000 square meters in Nur-Sultan and Almaty cities.
“We plan to build two centers, because we are operating on the Kyrgyz market, and in the future, we plan to enter the market of Uzbekistan. It will be very convenient for us to logistically work in Kazakhstan with these countries. Our team is already there, we are building quickly,” she said.
Recently, Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and Wildberries company have signed the framework agreement on mutual cooperation. The agreement oversees participation of Kazakh exporters in international trade through electronic commerce of Wildberries.
Previously Trend also reported on the plans of Wildberries to create a number of centers for online expertise of the company in major cities of Kazakhstan in order to develop online trade in the country.
As Trend was then informed, an overall of three centers will be established in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent cities. The establishment of these centers will allow for the small and medium business to receive necessary knowledge and tools for successful online trade, including training courses and available photo studios. Among the benefits for the creation of these centers is the simplification of interaction between suppliers from Kazakhstan with Wildberries. The centers will allow for direct acceptance of goods in the centers, from which they will be redirected to distribution storages of the company.
Wildberries is an online retailer of Russia. The company has been established in 2004 and has been named the largest online retailer on the territory of Eurasian Economic Union in years 2016, 2017 and 2018.
