New poultry farm built in Georgia

Georgian Birds poultry farm, which meets modern standards, was built in the Georgian municipality of Gardabani under the auspices of the Joint Agricultural Project, said Otar Shamugia, Director of the Agency for Agricultural Development of Georgia, Trend reports with reference to commersant.ge.

Some 1.1 million lari was invested in the construction of the factory.

Otar Shamugia, State Representative in Kvemo Kartli region Shota Rekhviashvili and representatives of local authorities visited the poultry farm and got acquainted with the production process.

The farm produces an average of 15,000 hatching eggs per day, with products focused on the local market. The company employs 12 local residents.

With the help of the state, 200 new enterprises were financed within the framework of the Joint Agricultural Project in Georgia, of which 25 new enterprises were opened in the Kvemo Kartli region.

The Agency for Agricultural Development of Georgia implements a single agricultural project aimed at long-term development and creating conditions conducive to competitiveness in agriculture, sustainable growth of high-quality production and , implementation of international food safety standards.
