ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 5. Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl region has unveiled a new, modern brick production facility, Trend reports.
The modern brick factory is equipped with state-of-the-art
machinery and can produce up to 36 million bricks per year. The
project received an investment of 2.5 billion tenge ($4.8
million).
"The production process is fully automated: with a constant staff
of three people, the workforce increases to 15 during the peak
season. The equipment for the factory was purchased from the
People's Republic of China," the regional administration
reported.
In the first stage, clay, water, and coal are mixed in a special installation. The resulting mixture is then compacted and takes the shape of a brick. Afterward, the blanks are sent to the kiln, where they are first dried at a temperature of 400 degrees and then fired at 800 degrees. Once cooled, the bricks are sorted and stacked using special robots.
The finished products will be supplied to all regions of
Kazakhstan and exported to neighboring countries.
In total, from 2025 through 2028, as many as 62 investment projects
are planned to be implemented in the region, with a total cost of
3.5 trillion tenge ($6.7 billion). It is expected that this will
create around 6,000 new jobs.
