Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR exported 1.58 million tons of oil from Georgia’s Supsa port in January-August 2016, as compared to around 1.87 million tons in the first eight months of 2015, said SOCAR’s website.
The company exported 87,180 tons of oil from Supsa port in August 2016.
SOCAR exported around 2.79 million tons of oil from this port in 2015, as compared to nearly 2.96 million tons in 2014.
Oil is delivered to Supsa port via the Baku-Supsa pipeline operated by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC).
